Week 26 (March 9 – 13, 2009)

Progress reports for Mr. T’s classes went home today.

CSAP testing continues this week. Make certain they get some sleep and breakfast. Kids in my class will still take spelling and vocabulary tests and a DOL quiz on Friday, and Math 65 students will have some homework this week.

Dress of Choice Day. Friday, March 13, for all students.

Legacy Academy letters of commitment for current students for the 2009-10 academic year can be found here (a link to the form will be available in the lower left hand corner). They are due March 16.

Your kids will become 5th graders in 47.5 school days.

Math 65. Problem sets 102 – 103 will be due Friday. They will test on Friday.

Shurley Grammar. No testing this week, however, students will be classifying pattern 3 sentences and working with synonyms and antonyms.

All testing in my classes will occur this Friday as follows:

  • Daily Oral Language (DOL). There are no more weekly practice sentences or tests (i.e., they will no longer test on the sentences they edit each morning in class). They will, however, continue to have a DOL quiz every Friday.
  • Spelling. They will test this week on their individualized spelling lists.
  • Vocabulary.
  • Vocabulary words
  • Open Court. The reading comprehension exam will be comprised of short answer and multiple choice questions. It is always an “open book” test.
  • Messages by the Mile (a study guide is NOT available online)
